        • Sorry, used to be getting your intel wrong before invading a nation that had been repeatedly hostile to its neighbors and slaughtered its own citizens en masse made you Hitler, I find it so hard to keep up with the qualifications these days…

        • I got nothin’ against guns. Hell, I LIKE them. I like shooting them, the recoil, the smell of the burnt gunpowder. Beer cans flying off the 2×4 at the back of my Mom’s old farmhouse.
          .
I got nothin’ against the 2nd Amendment.
          .
I got a big fuckin’ problem against the constant wild-eyed froth-mouthed Red-Dawn paranoid pushback against common-sense regulation of fire-arms. Motherfuckers don’t need machine guns. Mentally ill assholes should have more problems buying beer than assault rifles. I have to prove I’m a competent and responsible adult before I am granted a driver’s license to operate a potentially lethal one-ton projectile made of glass and steel. The same standard should apply to random sumbitches wanting to buy lethal firearms (which, unlike cars, are designed specifically to kill whatever they’re pointed at), and saying that offering common-sense protection of the general public from easy access to guns by maniacs and criminals somehow assaults the Founding Father’s intent of the 2nd Amendment rights is like claiming that putting John Hinkley away in a looney bin for shooting Reagan is an assault on free speech and the First Amendment. He’s a slobbering fucking nut; he doesn’t get to speak freely in public. Slobbering nuts shouldn’t be handed firearms either. Background checks are OKAY. What’s the problem? What about those slaughtered first-grader’s rights to pursue liberty and happiness? Or the moviegoers in Colorado? Or the Navy Shipyard mass shooting victims? I’ve never seen such a sector of America so wild-eyed, entrenched and motivated by fear, anger, paranoia and hate as the True Believers flogged on by the marketing/lobbying arm of Remington and S&W, aka The NRA.

    • Anyone who hands a baby a gun is a moron. Period. I don’t care about your “safety checks,” the first rule of RESPONSIBLE gun handling is “treat every weapon (and this goes beyond guns) as if it is loaded.” My pepper spray goes in the gun safe when I visit my family with little ones because, well, that’s a weapon, and while it does have a safety, it’s still debilitating in the wrong hands. The guns are there, too, in case “gun safe” wasn’t clear enough. And the ammunition in a different safe. See, we know better…my dad stored his handgun in a top drawer with the safety on and my brother managed to get it when he was 6 and shoot a hole through the wall. We were LUCKY. We no longer take chances.

    • Thank you for not helping to prove my point. A responsible gun owner knows that you always treat a firearm as loaded even when you know the chamber is empty, thus you do NOT hand a firearm to a young child. Please take an NRA safety course before handling any firearms going forward.

  2. The only way this could have been worse is if the comment had spelled it ‘looser’ rather than ‘loser’.

Other than that, this is the worst thing ever. Worse even than the Star Wars prequels. Worse than JarJar…
