If you think this is sad, I go to dog parks just to play with strangers’ dogs. The people there always ask, “Which one is yours?” and then always give me a weird look when I reply with “Oh, I don’t have one. I just like dogs.”
That’s beautiful and it made me cry.
Oh, SURE, that’s all nice and lovey dovie…but when I do the EXACT same thing at the local elementary school playground I’m treated like some kinda FREAK!!!
I will admit that I’d keep an eye on you, because dognappers (don’t poo-poo this too quickly, it happens more than you’d think), but DAWWWW. Our dog park is pretty desolate, so if you weren’t creepy I’d be a-ok with my pup having someone new to play with.
Consider going to shelters and spending time with those dogs. They’re seriously in need of some stimulation! You may be met with some suspicion, a lot of crazy people with axes to grind have taken to trying to volunteer at shelters in recent times…
Also wearing the safety helmet at all times does help
