  1. OK, if you have that much of a problem with gay marriage:

    A) Why are you friends with someone who’s gay, particularly enough to get a wedding invite?

    B) You know there is usually this option on the RSVP card to simply decline the invitation.

    There, problem solved.

  2. So, is he sinning by NOT throwing stones? I mean, he’s a MAN in an authority position, ORDAINED to make judgment, and he’s NOT doing what God set forth in Leviticus?

Oh wait…he isn’t willing to go to jail for his convictions, unlike a LOT OF GAY FOLKS IN RUSSIA.

Christian cowards. The bible is a big book. You get the right size, you don’t have to see anything when you hide behind it.

  3. Lev 25:44 allows us to buy slaves. Lev 21:20 says you cannot approach the alter of god if you have a sight defect. Lev 19:28 says you cannot get a tattoo. Lev 19:27 says you cannot cut the hair at your temple, or the edges of your beard. Lev 19:19 says do not wear clothing of two different cloths. Lev 24:10-16 says if anyone blasphemes the name of the Lord they are to be put to death.

Don’t even get started on the other parts of the bible: Exodus 35:2 says whoever does any work on it is to be put to death.

Jesus F*cking Christ (blaspheme intended, put me to death) I am so sick of people cherry picking what they want out of the bible. Treat the book as a moral compass if you must, do not take it literally – and especially do not take literally ONLY the parts that suit your agenda.

      • While I am not religious, I am not anti-religion (apologies if I sounded that way), I agree it can be a good thing.

My point was that many, many people spouting (essentially) hate speech, they back up their bias by cherry picking quotes from the bible. All while conveniently ignoring the quotes & rules that might apply to them (and their friends and family).

Even the Leviticus 20:13 he is quoting is completely and utterly surrounded by tons of crazy rules no one in their right mind would agree with (or follow), the haters still manage to pick out what they feel supports their agenda.

      • Yeah, had to dig up my account just to tell you that that comment is full of win. I am so grateful for people like you who have the sense to call out on hateful people rather than the tool they have chosen to hit with.

    • Though, it *would* be easier if they treated the whole damn thing literally. Then fundies would be easy to spot, but have to love everyone and give all they have to the poor. We could avoid them AND they couldn’t mistreat us AND maybe some homeless “leech” would have proper food and shelter.

  4. There’s only one Swanson who’s opinion I care about, and it ain’t this asshole.

Oh, wait Joe Swanson from Family guy also, as well as Ron Swanson. So there’s 2 Swansons I care about, but this asshole still isn’t in the top 2.

  5. Homosexuals do not generally sleep with women as they sleep with men, so there’s really no problem. Bisexuals might be in trouble, but only if they sleep with men and women the same way. And what’s the main difference between a regular sex and heterosexual sex? Heterosexual sex can result in pregnancy. So the way I see it, as long as you’re not trying to get pregnant with gay sex, and understand that you can get pregnant with straight sex, then you’re doing men and women the same and are therefore not breaking any biblical laws.
