  1. See Bronc, you’re not as cool and hip as her. She has a sweater, but it only covers up half of her. She has suspenders, but doesn’t wear them. She got a buzz cut, but only halfway. High fashion.

  2. Can someone please explain to a foreigner (me) why is this thing called a belly sweater? Because it is specifically designed to not cover the wearer’s belly, provided my receptors are not off-focus.

    • I don’t really know that it’s called that, since I have nothing to compare it to. But we have these things called belly shirts, so named because they show your belly. I just applied it to this sweater.
      It’s a bit counterintuitive.

      • Thank you. I was approaching deconstruction of the name from a wrong angle – the sweater is more decorative than protective in it’s function, after all. It is thus logical that the name refers to a body part the apparel is designed to highlight.

      • Oh, and it would appear that things like that are, indeed, called “belly sweaters” by many. At least this is the impression a quick google search gave me.

        And I should refrain from writing comments in the late hours…
