I’m fixated on the phrase buried deep in all this wordiness: He would like to see his family on the other side. “Some I will; some I won’t” So who’s going to hell here, himself and a bunch of his family, or is he going to heaven (due to that last-minute conversion, apparently) and his family members aren’t? This portion of the letter seems ripe for Passive-Aggressive Notes.
